Blog #7

In my group we discussed Americans who were considered disobedient, but the world was influenced as a result of their disobedience and different ideas. One example of a group of people going against the projected normal ideas of society was the Founding Fathers of the United States of America. This group was disobedient to the king of England by not paying their taxes and the laws placed upon them. This was considered dangerous or radical to break away from the monarchy. As a result of their disobedience to the monarchy, the democratic government. that we still have today, give every citizen individual rights. One other person who demonstarted disobedience was Rosa Parks. She stood up for her rights and was arrested as a result of this. Her actions lead to desegregation and the civil rights movement. Many great truimphs were overcome due to people disobeying society's beliefs.

We have a lot to thank our Founding Fathers for! They had an idea that was radical at the time and constructed an entirely new government that we still have today.

I like how you came out with Rosa Parks. She is a great example during the civil rights movement and her action was a major impact on segregation :-)

The Founding Fathers definately went against the grain to fight for the rights that we have now. Also Rosa Park is a great example of someone that stood her ground.
